Meet Our Staff

Sandi Sonnenberg, RDH, has been in practice in Dr. Fasnacht’s Dental office since 1987.  She is a native Southern Californian and graduated from Cerritos College Dental Hygiene Program in 1984 with a certificate of Registered Dental Hygienist with Expanded Functions.  She was president of her class, graduated with honors and received an award for professional attitude.  Sandi interned at UCLA Dental School, Long Beach & Wadsworth VA Hospitals, Terminal Island Federal Prison, and Lakewood School District.  She has stayed up to date with the latest techniques in her profession.  Sandi’s latest certificate is in the use of “Diode Laser & Periodontal Therapy”.  She is trained in Digital X-rays and computer charting. 

Dee Johnson, RDH, has been practicing dental hygiene for Dr. Fasnacht since 1994.  She graduated from Cerritos College Dental Hygiene Program in 1985 acquiring an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene with Expanded Functions.  Clinical work during this formal education included UCLA School of Dentistry, VA Wadsworth Hospital, Terminal Island Prison, student education, and screening at the elementary grade level.  Dee has had the opportunity to practice in a number of specialty offices including pedodontist, periodontist and prostidontist.

Working as a dental hygienist at Dr. Fasnacht’s office has provided the entire state of the art equipment available and training equal to that of a specialty office.  Her most recent certification acquired is for periodontal treatment with the Diode Laser. 

Quality, comprehensive hygiene treatment with friendliness and care is what Dee tries to achieve for every patient.

Sandy Toppen, RDH, has been practicing dental hygiene for Dr Fasnacht since 1996.  She earned her Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene at Pasadena City College; with an Expanded Functions Certificate, in 1985.  Her internships were completed at USC Dental School, the VA hospitals in Long Beach and Los Angeles, and in dental screenings and tooth brushing instruction at elementary schools in the Pasadena area school district.  She also earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, from Cal Poly Pomona in 1983. 

Sandy takes one day out of her work week to help educate and clean children’s teeth at the Children’s Dental Health Clinic in Millers Children’s Hospital in Long Beach.  In working with Dr. Fasnacht, Sandy has had the opportunity to acquire expertise in many new techniques such as, taking digital x-rays, using an intra-oral camera, being certified in the use of the Diode laser for periodontal treatment, among many other new and exciting state of the art technologies.  Sandy takes great pride in her commitment to make certain that every patient receives the finest dental care possible.
